Hello Earth Cuppers! We're back with a new blog post to give some big updates about what we've been working on & where we're going from here (on our way to the moon, that is).

One of our main points of focus right now is introducing Closed Loop Collection Programs for large venues and organizations. We first piloted this initiative with Princeton University in May 2022 for their Class Reunions. Our goal is to work with large organizations and venues to reduce their waste sent to landfills. We set up bins across the respective venue to collect the cups; we then partner with nearby composting facilities to collect our cups, transport it to a nearby facility, sort it for contaminants, and then grind the cups into new raw material. From there, we can make new Earth Cups and other products out of the recycled plant-based material. It’s plant-based and it’s repurposed: it’s amazing. We then work with the organizations and venues to calculate the impact of the initiative, giving them usable metrics such as the amount of plastic diverted from landfill and the amount of carbon saved. We’re already working with over 50 composting partners across the US and Canada, so hit us up to get involved!

We also want to make sustainability affordable and accessible for college students and student-run organizations. As a company founded by two kids who just graduated college, we know how important it is to spend wisely! By creating ECA (Earth Cups Alliance), we want to help college students afford eco-friendly cups at a discounted rate by coming together as a community. There are two levels in the Alliance, “Individual and Group.” The Individual ECA membership is $25 per month + free shipping. For Group ECA, the membership is $400 per semester + a 30-50% discount on Earth Cups and other products. You’ll also get access to custom cups at super low MOQs, which are perfect for Greek life letters or logos, and you’ll get exclusive deals on new merch and products. 
We launched our Campus Manager program this fall semester, which is the top tier of our Brand Ambassador program, which already consists of over 50 Campus Managers across over 25 colleges and universities. Campus Managers, who report directly to our team, are tasked with organizing events and initiatives on their respective campuses, growing the ambassador program, and thinking of new creative ways to build the EC community on their campus. 
Thanks to a busy summer of hard work (& an amazing team of interns), we have some exciting updates yet to come this fall. We’re launching on Gopuff in dozens of college towns this month, making it easy to Drink Sustainably without having to leave your couch! We’re launching our new merch with our new website in early November. We will be releasing our EC ambassador app as well as our B2B portal, which will help us engage with our consumers on a large- and small- scale! And these big steps are just the beginning: we have so much more to come over the next year, so be sure to keep an eye out for some exciting brand collabs, stadium launches, and other updates!!
