Princeton University reunion was a blast! It was our second consecutive year working with the university around the event. This year, we successfully piloted our closed-loop collection program with custom plant-based Earth Cups. During the 4-day event, we had an on-site "Cup Crew" assisting with collection and reducing contamination. We had over 200 50-gallon bags of Earth Cups, which are now being transported to a nearby compost facility, where they will be broken down into soil in just 90 days! We are excited to receive and generate data around how many cups were collected, how much plastic was displaced, and how much "greener" reunions became by making just one simple switch. We expect our YoY improvement in terms of diversion rate and collection rate to be 15-20x better than last year's program, and 100% greener than the prior year's. Creating a circular economy of plant-based products is the future: it reduces reliance on oil-based plastics, repurposes single-use items, and eliminates massive amounts of plastic waste. We are excited to make it the norm for events and venues across the country over the next few years. For now, please do your part and Drink Sustainably™
