Two weeks ago our team made the trip out to the Busch Light Clash at the LA Coliseum, one of the first zero waste stadiums in the world. The team was stationed next to a water refill tent at the event, and met hundreds of friendly faces as they passed out water cups to those who needed it.
With every cup handed out, so too was word of the Earth Brands mission. When tent attendees learned that Earth Cups were made from corn resin and sugar, many asked if the cup was edible. Unfortunately, they are not, but it was proof of the amazing curiosity everyone shares about plant based products and the potential they hold! People of all ages were hydrated with the help of Earth Cups, and educated on the dangers of single-use plastic and the waste it causes. In addition, two USC students attended as a part of the Earth Brands campus Ambassadors Program. They were able to help spread awareness of Earth Brands to other college students also attending the event.
Everyone from grandparents to their grandkids learned that anyone could take even the smallest initiatives to make a difference in the fight against plastic waste. By using plant-based products, people can help limit the amount of petroleum based plastic waste that pollutes the environment every day. By using Earth Cups at their rehydration station, NASCAR was able to become more sustainable, while improving LA Coliseum as a zero waste stadium and keeping their attendees hydrated.
